Fast Facts

• BIFF Kids 2007 will be our fourth annual festival.

• BIFF Kids 2006 featured 55 films from 16 countries, including 22 films made by Bermuda-based youngsters in our Summer Film Production Camps.

• We offer prizes in two age categories.

• The festival made its debut in 2004 at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute theatre (148 seats) before moving to the Liberty Theatre (270 seats) in 2005.

• We grew from 22 films in 2004 to 46 films in 2005.

• Our School Screening Series this year saw more than 700 students from Bermuda’s nursery, primary, middle and secondary schools attend a film during the festival.

• Our eight weeks of Summer Film Production Camps this year saw more than 100 students learn the principles of filmmaking.

• We have a full-time director, a three-days-a week deputy director – and many, many hardworking volunteers who play a huge role in the success of our festival.

• Our festival receives funding from BIFF Kids Presenting Partner, Butterfield Bank, in-kind gifts and via fundraising events and ticket and merchandise sales.
