BIFF Kids Management Committee
Aideen Ratteray Pryse, Festival Director
|
A founding member of BIFF, Aideen has served as Festival Director since 1997. Aideen trained as an urban planner, having obtained a Bachelor’s degree at McGill University and a Master’s at the University of Waterloo. She was formerly employed with the Bermuda Department of Planning as Assistant Director (Administration & Control). In addition to her film festival work, she is a member of the board of directors of the Centre on Philanthropy.

Duncan Hall, Deputy Festival Director
|
Duncan became involved with BIFF in 1997, joined the Festival staff in 2000 – and has served as Deputy Festival Director since 2002. He trained as an attorney, having obtained a Law degree at the University of Victoria. He was called to the Bar of Bermuda and British Columbia, and spent three years as an attorney at Appleby Spurling & Kempe (now Appleby Hunter Bailache) in Bermuda. Prior to obtaining his law degree, Duncan worked as a journalist for more than a decade. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts from the University of Toronto.

Ralph Gonzales, Programmer
|
Ralph has been a volunteer with our March festival of international cinema since 2002, and a member of the BIFF Kids Management Committee since the Festival’s inception in 2004. He has had a lifelong interest in film, from making stop-motion animated films with a Super-8 camera as a teenager. He has a B.S. in Mathematics, and a PhD in Systems Engineering, and taught computer science at Rutgers University in New Jersey. He works as a software engineer and researcher at IID Partners in Bermuda.

Corynne Bailey, Volunteer Co-ordinator
|
Corynne joined the BIFF Kids management team in 2005, and this year spearheaded the Festival’s Student Volunteer Programme, which saw more than 30 secondary school students assist us with the presentation of BIFF Kids 2006. She works at law firm Conyers Dill & Pearman, where she is assistant to the firm’s business development manager. She has extensive experience with non-profit organisations, including a tenure as President of the Lupus Association of Bermuda.

Fiona Collins, Box Office Co-ordinator
|
Fiona joined the BIFF Kids management team this year. Aside from her position as Box Office Co-ordinator, she also acts as Sponsor Patron Liaison with our March Festival of international cinema. She has been a Festival volunteer since 2004. Prior to her arrival in Bermuda, Fiona worked in London, Barcelona and the Cayman Islands, where she gathered vast experience in the tourism, hospitality, sports management and advertising industries.

Alina Walter
|
|
Alina first became involved with BIFF when she volunteered at our March festival of international cinema in 2006, and she joined the BIFF Kids Management Committee earlier this year. She has a diploma in Mathematics and Economics from the Technical University Clausthal in her native Germany. Alina works as an assistant actuarial analyst at Hannover Re in Bermuda.
