Deadline Extended for Jury Contest Held by BIFF Kids Film Festival

Third annual festival to be held October 13-15 at Liberty Theatre

The Bermuda International Film Festival and Butterfield Bank, today announced that the deadline has been extended for children wishing to apply for places on the juries for the third annual BIFF Kids Film Festival, October 13-15.

The deadline for entries is now Monday October 2.

Children ages 7-15 who are interested in sitting on the juries are asked to write to the festival, telling in 100-250 words why they liked a particular film that they have seen anytime in the last two years. Jury members will be selected based on those film reviews.

The winners will be announced, and the two, three-person juries will watch the films for free during the festival in October, and select the winning film in both the feature and short film categories.

Entries should be sent to BIFF, P.O. Box HM 2963, Hamilton HM MX. Entries may be typed or handwritten neatly. Entries may also be submitted by e-mail to info@biff.bm.

Prospective jurors are reminded to include their age and contact information with their entries.

BIFF Kids screenings will take place at the Liberty Theatre. The festival will open on Friday October 13, and will continue through the weekend. The film line-up will be announced later this week.
